Yin Yoga (Yoga – All Levels)
About this class:
Responsible teacher: Emma Rousseau
Schedule: Sunday 17:00
A transformative practice exploring the ancient yogic science of pranayama (breath control) to regulate energy, balance emotions, and optimize physical and mental well-being. Students learn a variety of traditional breathing techniques including three-part breathing, alternate nostril breathing, cooling breaths, and energizing practices. Each session includes detailed instruction on proper technique, understanding of the physiological effects, and guided practice time. The class explores how conscious breathing can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reduce anxiety, improve focus, and create states of calm alertness. Students also learn to use breath as a tool for managing stress in daily life, enhancing athletic performance, and supporting meditation practice. Suitable for all levels, with modifications provided for different needs and abilities. Regular practice can lead to improved sleep, better emotional regulation, and increased overall vitality.
